Knowing we are all sinful vs. viewing all people as evil; there is a big difference. We are all fallen creatures, totally depraved in essence, but enabled to live a civil life (for the most part) by the will and purpose of God. If we see that He keeps most men and women above the level of vile, brute beasts in their everyday conduct, and seeing we are no different from others by nature, we should strive to be more compassionate << though not my forte, I trust God can grant much strength in the face of our very real weakness.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
