Deity of Christ

The Bible is abundantly clear that the Lord Jesus Christ is the second person of the Triune Godhead; He is God the Son, the Eternal Word, Jehovah the Anointed Saviour. The Lord Jesus Christ is co-equal, co-divine, and co-eternal with God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit; were He anything less than eternal God, He would not have been able to atone, in His person, for the sins of all of His elect (a number that God declares no man can count).

The aim of the chart below is to show that the Names and Titles attributed exclusively to the LORD God (Jehovah Elohim) apply equally and fully to the Lord Jesus (for they are One; not just in divine purpose, but in divine essence as well).
